On December 29, 2021, the Northeastern Nun had a dream that often returned to her mind and was the subject of her meditations. She feels that there is something important in it due to the symbolism of its elements.
In the dream, she was with a group of people, as in a caravan. After walking for a long time, they no longer knew where they were. They were all tired, hungry, and thirsty. Then they saw a lake and stopped at its edge to rest.
The nun admired the landscape of the lake, which was large, beautiful, and with transparent waters, until she recognized it and, frightened, warned everyone:
"Don't drink this water! I know where we are!" - when everyone approached her, she continued: "This is Lake Kivu, we are in Rwanda. This land is stained with blood. In it, during the genocide, thousands of bodies were thrown! We need to leave."
Everyone gathered their things and followed the nun. Looking for a way out of the country, they saw a house which, although large, was simple and poor. At the door, there was a soldier dressed as a general. He went to the travelers and said:
"Are you tired, hungry, and thirsty? Come, we have everything for you here: beds, food, and drinks. Then you can continue your journey."
The nun thought of refusing, as the man did not seem trustworthy. However, before she could respond, several of the group were already following him into the house. She entered too.
The interior of the house was similar to a rich palace, full of food and drinks. There were more people there, of different nationalities. The travelers began to eat, drink, and interact with those who were already in the house, but the nun remained withdrawn and suspicious.
The general who had received them approached.
"Come, we need you," he said. "We don't have anyone from Brazil here," he continued, leading her to another room.
Arriving there, the nun saw representatives of different countries holding a secret meeting and understood that everything else was a disguise. Sitting down, she began to listen to what they were saying.
In the center of the room, a man was talking about a surprise attack and a silent war that would leave no room for defense.
The participants of the meeting disagreed among themselves, some approving of the hidden war, others preferring a violent and bloody conflict like that of Rwanda. The discussion was great and everyone was talking at the same time.
The nun stood up, went in front of the representatives and exclaimed:
"Stop it!" - and everyone fell silent. - "How can you want to repeat what happened here? How can you want to take the lives of your brothers again? I will never be part of this!"
The nun went to the door and opened it, seeing again the hall where the meal was taking place. Someone grabbed her, preventing her from leaving. It was a tall man, in a suit and tie. Later, the nun identified him as Théodore Sindikubwabo, interim president at the time of the genocide. He said:
"You need to stay. You understood everything wrong, we need you."
"Everything that happened here was your fault," the nun replied. "Wasn't the death of your brothers enough? Do you want this for the whole world?"
He then bowed his head and returned to the meeting room. The nun began to call her traveling companions to leave, explaining what was happening, but no one listened to her. She opened the exit door, determined to leave alone, when one of her traveling companions said to her:
"Don't go, please. Let's enjoy a little more, then we'll leave."
"If we stay here, we'll never leave," the nun replied, crying. "I can't be part of this."
The nun left alone. Thus ended the dream.
It may be that this dream was not exactly a revelation, but it was still divinely inspired, in order to give us elements for meditation. The lost travelers may symbolize humanity, spiritually confused and weakened, on the brink of a new death without realizing it. The humble house on the outside and rich on the inside seems to be the false solution, where the promises of riches end up making us forget the mistakes of the past and fall into them again. The secret discussion may represent the intentions of the demons, but also of the authorities who, under their influence, decide for the worst in secret. Brazil being outside the meeting seems to be a sign of hope for our country. And the inattention of those who do not listen to the nun may symbolize the men who, distracted by material goods, do not listen to the calls of God.
Let us listen to the voice of Our Lord and abandon false solutions, while there is still time. It is time for our conversion.
