In the evening, as Father Oliveira commenced the celebration of Mass, the weather began to change, indicating the possibility of rain. It was precisely during the Consecration that thunder and lightning intensified, and Father beheld an enormous cross. This cross had its base positioned on the altar and extended to a height that was challenging to estimate. The cross radiated with an intense light.
Following this, he witnessed angels descending around the cross, each holding signets (a small brand-like piece used to seal letters) with a hue reminiscent of burning embers. The angels, whose number wasn't counted, kept on descending, and dispersed in various directions. This vision repeated itself when Father elevated the chalice, after which a heavy rainstorm ensued.
After concluding the Mass and returning home, Father spent some time in the chapel, asking God about the significance of this vision. He had a sense that it might be connected to a particular date, perhaps September 14th, the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, or even Good Friday. At that time, he shared:
I must confess that the first date drew more of my attention, given the glorious manifestation of the Cross. The angels descending with signets might signify that on such a day, the Lord will initiate something. These angels may descend to 'seal' individuals, communities, or places for whatever may come.
Father Oliveira wasn't certain if those present at the Mass had noticed anything unusual, as he believed he might have spent more time than usual holding the Eucharist and chalice aloft. No one mentioned anything about it.
Exactly one year after this extraordinary event, Pope Francis consecrated Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
